Meet our team: We are delighted to welcome Aaron Neath to our Finance team

An experienced finance specialist has joined Principle Estate Management as a service charge accountant.

Aaron Neath joins Principle after spending three-and-a-half years with the SDL Group and its successors.

He has spent more than four years in the finance sector and has previously worked at other established companies, including audit and accounts work at Haines Watts Birmingham and SLP Accountants.

Paul Richardson, finance manager at Principle, said: “We’re delighted to appoint Aaron whose main focus will be preparing service charge accounts, client reports and liaising with clients, customers and external accountants.

“He comes with some excellent experience, knowing both general accounting and residential service charge accounting.

“We’re always on the lookout for good candidates across all teams and had a selection of great candidates for this role who we shortlisted to three for the final interview stage.

“Our interview process is pretty stringent and the panel selected Aaron over the others.

“He started on 21 March and has already settled in really well and picked up our processes very quickly.

“Aaron has some prior experience of the Qube PM system, but we have developed a very detailed and comprehensive way of running and tracking the year end accounts for each service charge site.

“He’s taken all of this in his stride – not surprising with him being a keen runner!”

Mr Neath enjoys running with a local club and regularly takes part in fund-raising events for charities such as MIND, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and The Movember Foundation.

He led a Principle team of runners in the Great Birmingham 10k run on 1 May.

Mr Neath, who also has a keen interest in travel and studying foreign languages, said: “I knew a few people who work in other teams at Principle from my previous roles.

“I made an approach and was invited in for an informal chat, and then shortly afterwards a role became available and I was called to interview.

“I was really pleased to be selected and have enjoyed seeing Principle’s advanced use of Qube.”

Mr Neath, who is another of Principle’s team living within walking distance of the company’s headquarters in the Jewellery Quarter, added: “The team are a close bunch and that really suits me as I like to get on well with my colleagues.”
