Principle to manage luxury homes on part Grade II-listed development in Birmingham
A premium collection of 30 homes in a development based on a Grade II-listed building in Birmingham is be looked after by Principle Estate Management.
Magdalen Court on Vernon Road, Edgbaston was a Redrow Homes urban regeneration project which included 18 converted apartments and 12 new town houses.
Danielle Lannon, senior associate director at Principle, explained that the original building’s period stone and brick detail had been replicated on the new build properties’ designs to complement their older neighbour.
Ms Lannon, who has managed the property before in a previous job, said that the new contract had been awarded to Principle following a full tender process by the residents’ management company.
She said: “We are delighted to have won the contract to manage these impressive properties which boast stunning exterior and interiors features throughout.
“I will now be drawing up a 100-day plan with resident directors as part of Principle’s onboarding process, and I look forward to reviewing any current issues and getting to work on them.”
Magdalen Court has a secluded setting on a tree-lined avenue of mainly late 19th and early 20th century buildings with quick access to Birmingham city centre down the Hagley Road.
The development has its own private entrance, and each home has gas central heating, a fitted kitchen, period-style bathroom and private parking.
A spokesperson for Magdalen Court (Edgbaston) Management Company Ltd said: “We know Danielle from her previous employment and so know the quality and focus she can bring to our development.
“We were impressed by the detail of Principle’s bid to take on this contract and feel sure that they will quickly improve the management of our lovely homes.”
Joe Jobson, joint managing director at Principle, said: “We have recently refined our model of management for resident management companies, so it is great to see clients buying in to the service.
“Danielle will be our lead and client contact for this project as she already knows the property and many of the residents.
“Magdalen Court will quickly be absorbed into our structures with all the focus on customer service that we offer.”
Mr Jobson added: “Principle is continuing to grow and we are due to take on board a further 900 units over the next three months.”
