Principle wins contract to manage period mansion block on London’s famous Baker Street
A premium collection of 37 apartments in a period mansion block opposite The Sherlock Holmes Museum in London is to be looked after by Principle Estate Management.
The seven-story period building called Chalfont Court, located near Regent’s Park on the triangular shaped junction of Baker Street and Allsopp Place, is thought to date from the turn of the century.
The property is a stone’s throw from Baker Street tube station, a short walk from Marylebone railway station and is close to many other landmark attractions, including Madam Tussauds wax museum.
Although Principle already manages multiple properties across London, this prestigious contract is its third instruction since opening a new London office following the amalgamation with managing agent Myhill Newman.
There are several retail premises on the ground floor of the red-brick block, where residential apartments regularly sell for up to £2 million.
Bob Myhill, who remains with Principle, will oversee the management of the scheme and was instrumental in bringing the scheme into management.
Joe Jobson, joint managing director at Principle, said: “We are delighted to have won the contract to manage this eye-catching apartment block in what is such a premium part of London’s property estate.
“Bob led on our proposal and will now manage the scheme after building up such a great rapport with the directors of the resident management company.
“Bob is a chartered surveyor who is well known in London for providing a fantastic customer service which completely fits with Principle’s company ethos.”
Bob Myhill said: “It’s great to be working closely with residents to maintain and improve their splendid properties.
“Chalfont Court will be managed directly from Principle’s new London office in Wardour Street, Soho, and will be fully integrated on to the company’s QUBE property management system.
“We have a team of seven skilled staff the office which means they are always close to the many properties Principle looks after in central London.”
A spokesperson for Chalfont Court Ltd, the residents’ management company, said: “We were impressed from the start with the proposal presented and their focus on providing such quality and detailed customer service.
“We now look forward to working closely with Bob Myhill and his staff to make sure Chalfont Court remains one of the best places to live in the Regent’s Park area.”
