Principle wins major contract to look after 125 new Bellway Homes in Devon

Bellway Homes has appointed Principle Estate Management to look after a new development of 125 homes in Devon.

The site known as Fox Mill Gardens includes a mixture of three, four and five-bedroomed family homes which sit in landscaped grounds including a play area in the village of Willand, near Tiverton.

Principle already acts for Bellway Homes across a number of regions, although this is the first instruction in the house builder’s south-west region.

The development will feature 81 houses for private sale and 44 affordable properties available for local people through low-cost rent and shared ownership.

Robert Simonds, business development director at Principle, said: “We are thrilled to have won this new contract from Bellway Homes in the south-west as we continue to grow our presence in the area.

“Fox Mill Gardens is a wonderful development of homes in the beautiful village of Willand which showcase some great specifications and come with plenty of public open space and attractive views.

“By being involved at the very beginning of this development we will be able to support and advise Bellway Homes on the ongoing management of the new homes from the drawing board stage.

“This will include putting together budgets, reviewing all operating and maintenance manuals, issuing service contracts and carrying out a full onsite inspection and snagging review after completion.

“We now look forward to working closely with Bellway Homes to make sure that everything is ready for the first occupants.”

Tim Lund, sales director for Bellway South West, said: “Bellway places the needs of customers at the heart of everything we do. This approach has helped us to secure 5-star builder status from the Home Builders Federation for eight consecutive years.

“Customer care is a continuous process so it is essential that we work with managing agents who we know share our commitment and high standards.

“We partner with Principle on other developments and feel confident that they will ensure that Fox Mill Gardens remains a pleasant place to live for all homeowners and tenants.

“Their proposals demonstrated that customers would be listened to and the development would be well cared for in the long term.”
