Taylor Wimpey instruct Principle to manage 260+ new build homes in the West Midlands

One of the UK’s largest housebuilders has instructed Principle Estate Management to look after more than 260 new houses under construction in the Black Country.

The new contract from Taylor Wimpey is for Principle to manage a development called Wyrley View, off Goscote Lane in Walsall.

This will see a total of 263 two, three and four-bedroomed homes with prices ranging from £295,000 to £308,000 built on a site backing onto the Wyrley and Essington Canal, with plenty of green open space.

Joe Jobson, a director at Principle, said: “This will be our fourth instruction with Taylor Wimpey in the Midlands and it’s great to be continuing our good relationship with such a renowned firm.

“We understand the importance of not just providing a management service but also building communities, which is underlined through our company vision ‘to positively impact the everyday lives of our communities’.

“Principle will be providing Taylor Wimpey with management strategy advice throughout the build on a scheme that will become a resident management company instruction.

“We have already set that company up on behalf of Taylor Wimpey and through this relationship we will not only manage the homes but also all of the public open space which includes areas of play, sustainable urban drainage systems, habitat piles and hedgehog domes.”

The Wyrley View development has been designed to offer contemporary living with a variety of character added throughout the development, providing the new homes with a unique sense of style.

The attractive location is well-served by excellent local transport links and is just over two miles from Walsall town centre, with an abundance of high street shopping, leisure facilities, museums and art galleries.

This includes the New Art Gallery Walsall, which houses prized pieces from Van Gogh and Monet.

Beth Staples, technical co-ordinator at Taylor Wimpey, said: “We are pleased to have chosen Principle to manage this residential scheme for us after a full tender process.

“We have been impressed by the work that Principle has done for us on our existing schemes and with their modern approach to management.

“They truly understand our customers’ requirements and have provided us with great strategic management advice, which positively impacts our developments for our customers for the long term.”

Launched in 2018, Principle has since grown from what was virtually a one-man band into what is now more than nearly 40 staff looking after a portfolio of approaching 8,000 units in over 250-plus developments across the UK.
